Th 6/29 at Milwaukee W 4-3 39-26 WP-Konikowski.  HR-Williams.  Millers break a 1-1 tie in the top of the fourth when Rowell doubles and scores on a single by Jennings.  The Minneapolis Tribune report said that Milwaukee center fielder Bob Addis lost Rowell’s fly in the lights, but Sam Levy, in the Milwaukee Journal, maintained it was a nighthawk that caused the ball to drop safely: “The bird, dipping in over center field with a mate in the fourth inning, mistook a fly ball for something to eat.  With Bob Jaderlund, right fielder, camping under Bama Rowell’s easy fly, the hawk pecked at the ball, deflecting it from its course.  Center fielder Bob Addis, standing near Jaderlund, then attempted to catch the fly but it took a crazy spin and fell to one side for a trick double.”
