M 8/8 at Kansas City W 6-5 57-53 WP-Bean (10-10).  The Millers were trailing 2-0 in the 6th with runners at first and second when Spence hit into an apparent double play.  However, base umpire Paul Genshlea ruled that the ball had hit his (Genshlea's) foot, and Spence was given a base hit.  On a 1-2 pitch Williams hit a grand slam (home run 35).  Fans began to throw bottles on the field and play was stopped.   Pfleger followed with a homer, bringing another shower of bottles and stoppage of play.  The game resumed and halted one more time when the umpires threatened to forfeit the game.  Kansas City tied the game with 3 runs in the 6th, but the Millers won it on Harry Taylor's sacrifice fly in the 8th.
