Th 7/16 Louisville W 11-2 49-45 McKain wins 14th game.  Gaffke hits a solo homer and a grand slam and caps his day with a "circus catch" off a drive by Walter Ringhofer in the 9th.  Browne, Harris, and Hauser also homer.
F 7/17 Toledo W 6-5 (10) 50-45 WP-Bean.  J. Ryan homers.  Gaffke's 2-run double ties the game in the 9th, and his triple in the 10th drives in Harris with the winning run.  Gaffke's 9th-inning drive caromed off the concrete near the top of the fence in right-center toward left-center.  If the game hadn't ended with Harris's run, Gaffke would probably have had an inside-the-park home run.  Ray Kolp is sold to Memphis of the Southern Association.
