Louisville manager Joe McCarthy protests the August 29 game on the grounds that it's against the rules for a team to debut a major leaguer after August 15 in the American Association.  McCarthy was protesting the Millers' use of Mulrenan, who had pitched for the Chicago White Sox in 1921.
